Price: £4.99 | |
Certainly, many people are unaware of what the etiquette of a Muslim on the ‘Eids should be, their significance, their importance. Hence, they miss them intentionally. Since in many Islamic countries a public holiday is declared on Eid, people spend the entire day either sleeping, going out for picnics, playing cards, chess, cricket, hockey, carrom board, or they play many haraam games. They do not know the significance of these ‘Eids.
They do not practice the correct teachings of Islaam. They don’t know the importance of cleansing on these ‘Eids. They go out to pray anyhow they like, i.e. in their own time and they wear any kind of dress they like. They are unaware of the proper behavior that one should have while going out for the ‘Eid Prayer. Most of them are ignorant of what a Muslim should do before and after the ‘Eid Prayer, and at the musalla while attending the ‘Eid Prayer.
This book is written mainly to guide the Muslims to follow the correct teachings of Islaam on the two ‘Eids. Observing the mistakes of some Muslims, such as those mentioned above and others, which will be further, dealt with in this book (inshaa Allaah).

The Khutab had been divided into eight sections.
1. Brief history of Pre-Islamic festivals,
2. Muslim innovated Religious festivals,
3. Muslims’ Islamic ‘Eids,

5. Etiquette of a Muslim on the Day of ‘Eid,
6. Description of the ‘Eid Prayer,
7. Zakaatul-Fitr, and
8. Al-Udh-heeyah [animal which is slaughtered on ‘Eid]
Finally by the grace of Allaah, I was able to prepare the Khutab into ‘Arabic and translated them into English for my Muslim brothers and sisters who were unable to attend.
THE METHODOLOGY
The methodology of my work was very simple. I studied all the following major books of hadeeth.
1. Al- Bhukaaree,
2. Muslim,
3. Sunan at-Tirmithee,
4. Sunan Abee Daawood,
5. Sunan an-Nisaaee,
6. Sunan ibn Maajah,
7. Musnad Imaam Ahmad,
8. Muwatta Imaam Maalik, and
9. Sunan Ad-Daarmee.
I examined every point in the chapters on the Two ‘Eids, which I, as a Muslim, would be required to do. Accordingly I made simple sub-headings and added brief explanations with the evidences. I have divided the topics of my book into 8 sections. I sincerely request all my Muslim brothers and sisters in general and scholars in particular, that if they find any need for correction, please write to me directly. I will analyze it sincerely and incorporate the necessary changes into the next edition, ‘Inshaa Allaah’.
Finally, I hope that the contents of this book will provide a reliable basis for understanding the significance of the two ‘Eids. The goal of this book is to help all Muslims practice the Islamic Teachings on ‘Eid Prayers and to perform them in the proper manner, which is most pleasing to Allaah. So I seek the aid of Allaah, seeking from Him success in what is correct. I wish to present to my brethren this book, hoping from Allaah that He makes His faithful servants to benefit from this work. I ask that He record its rewards for us on the Day of Resurrection- a Day in which no wealth or children will be of avail to a person, except for the one who comes to Allaah with a pure heart.
By Allaah, I ask that He make our Muslim brethren and us successful in the understanding and application of His book and the Tradition of His Messenger (). I also ask that He make our eventual end good, surely He is the Most Generous, the Most Noble.
