Hadith No.21
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَإِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ جَرِيرٍ ح و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُلْ لِي فِي الْإِسْلَامِ قَوْلًا لَا أَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ أَحَدًا بَعْدَكَ وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ غَيْرَكَ قَالَ قُلْ آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ فَاسْتْ
On authority of Sufian bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him said:
I said: "O Messenger of Allah, tell me something about Islam which I can ask of no one but you". He said:" Say:'I believe in Allah', and thereafter be upright."

21- BELIEF AND STRAIGHT FORWARDNESS
1- Belief in Allah precedes worship.
2- Good deeds preserves one's Faith.
3- Keeping to the straight path is of high degree and is difficult to attain.
4- Faith and well-doing should be together.
5- The Prophet's Companions used to resort to him in all that concern them.
