The most important reason for writing this small booklet is that every Muslim should know that it is dangerous to have pictures in the house and the office or any place of gathering. The angels of mercy will not visit such places where pictures are hanged or decorated. Gradually, these pictures lead to idolatry. It disturbs the concentration in the prayer. The picture-maker is cursed by the Messenger of Allaah () and he will be punished on the Day of Resurrection for not giving life to those pictures of the living creatures. Making living from such job is prohibited in Islaam. Those who have allowed drawing pictures of the living creatures for education are wrong and they are mistaken, because education was required even during the Prophet’s time and they had high education for adults and children but even then Prophet () did not permit them to draw pictures of the living creatures.
